Experience North East England Limited Corporate Board
We are funded by the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority, Newcastle City Council and Gateshead Council, working in collaboration with local, regional, and national partners. We are a public and private sector partnership, and our company is Limited by Guarantee, registered with Companies House. Our board are responsible for the strategic direction, performance, governance, resource, compliance and have overall control of Experience North East England.

Visit North East England Steering Group
This group oversee regional destination marketing activity funded by the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority. They work collaboratively to support a ten-year visitor economy strategy and work in partnership with Local Visitor Economy Partnerships and Local Authorities to maximise the impact of working across all seven Local Authorities. Outputs of this group report into our corporate board.
Local Visitor Economy Partnership Advisory Board – NewcastleGateshead
The NewcastleGateshead Visitor Economy Advisory Board will bring together organisations and private sector stakeholders with a shared interest in Newcastle and Gateshead’s visitor economy. NewcastleGateshead Visitor Economy Advisory Board provides strategic guidance, industry insight and collaborative leadership to strengthen the visitor economy across NewcastleGateshead. This group reports into our corporate board.
Invest Newcastle Steering Group
This steering group brings together corporate and strategic partners, multipliers, landlords, professional service providers, universities and marketing professionals. The group provides oversight and strategic input into the development of campaigns and place-based promotional activity, including MIPIM.
Working closely with delivery teams, the group helps to promote our investment proposition and opportunities to investors, while facilitating the connections that support the growth of the city. It also plays a key role in helping new and existing businesses to locate, grow and thrive across Newcastle and Gateshead. The steering group reports directly to our board.
