Nick Jones

Nick Jones is Chief Executive of Newcastle International Airport, joining the company in 2015 and becoming Chief Executive in 2016.

The Airport has 16 airline partners and connects the region to over 80 direct destinations across the world, plus hundreds more thanks to daily scheduled flights to hubs including London Heathrow, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Dubai. Annually the Airport welcomes over 5 million passengers - either flying into or out of the region - and prides itself on providing a world-class passenger experience.

Before joining the Airport, Nick spent six years as Chief Financial Officer at private equity backed Aesica Pharmaceuticals; a pan European contract manufacturing business. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he spent 13 years, latterly as Corporate Finance Director in its Manchester Office.

Nick is passionate about the North East and the important role that the Airport plays in enhancing the region’s global connectivity.
