CALL OUT – What's New in England for 2027

VisitEngland and VisitBritain are looking ahead to 2027 and are currently collating major travel news stories from across England to inform their content and PR plans for the year ahead.

We’re sharing this opportunity with partners across the region and would encourage organisations with new or significant tourism developments planned for 2027 to share their news.

What news are they looking for?

VisitEngland and VisitBritain are particularly interested in new destination news and stories that could appeal to visitors, including:

• Major anniversaries and associated visitor experiences
• Film, TV and literary location tie-ins, including new set-jetting experiences
• New tours, attractions and visitor experiences
• New trails and outdoor activities, including noctourism and astrotourism experiences
• Coastal developments, experiences and openings
• Regenerative tourism initiatives and slow or responsible travel experiences
• New accessible and inclusive products or experiences
• Major events, exhibitions and cultural celebrations
• Significant new accommodation and dining openings

If you have a story that doesn't fall neatly into one of these categories but could be of interest to visitors to the North East, partners are also encouraged to share it.
