The Bigger Picture Agency have announced new specialist talent joining its creative team, an additional studio space and the launch of a bespoke content service designed to give businesses a constant supply of high-quality visual and audio content.
Founded in 2009 and incorporated as a limited company in 2014, The Bigger Picture Agency has built a strong reputation for photography and video production, working with clients across the UK.
Now, founder and creative director Angela Carrington is developing the business further, combining its established production expertise with a growing creative consultancy service.
As part of the development, existing team member Charlotte Beeckmans has been promoted to Senior Creative, taking on an expanded role within the agency.
Anna Petty has joined the business full time as studio manager, working to oversee and post-production across the agency. Experienced creative strategist Katherine Wildman is also joining the business on a freelance basis to support the agency’s expanding creative consultancy work. In addition, the business is engaging with a new range of freelance film-makers in the region to supplement the core team.
We are developing the business around what our clients need from us, and that is much more than simply producing videos or photographs.
Angela Carrington added, “We are increasingly being brought into projects at the planning stage, where clients and marketing agencies want our advice on what visual and audio content they should be creating, how it should look and what will work best for their audience.
“That is a really exciting development for us because it means we are able to bring our creative expertise into the process from the very beginning. We are often being brought in to establish new styles, many at the rebrand or brand-refresh stage of a company.”
The Bigger Picture Agency has also expanded its footprint at The Biscuit Factory, adding a further dedicated studio space alongside its existing office and studio facilities.
The additional space provides greater capacity for photography, video production, podcast production and creative projects as the agency continues to expand its services.
The latest development is the launch of Constant Content; a bespoke annual content service created for businesses that want a consistent stream of professional content without having to continually plan and commission individual projects.
Rather than offering a fixed list of services per month, Constant Content is tailored around each client’s individual requirements, with The Bigger Picture Agency developing a bespoke content programme designed to support their business throughout the year.
Constant Content is about taking away the pressure of constantly having to think, ‘What content do we need next?’
Angela Carrington added, “We work with the client to understand their business, their objectives and their audience, and then develop a bespoke programme of creative content around them.
“It is not simply about turning up and shooting. It is about understanding what the business needs and using our expertise to create the right visual and audio content to support it.”
The new service has already secured its first clients, while a number of marketing agencies are also exploring Constant Content for some of their clients.
The Bigger Picture Agency’s growing consultancy role means it can work directly with businesses or alongside their existing internal or external marketing teams, providing specialist expertise in photography, video and audio without seeking to replace the role of a marketing agency.
We are not becoming a marketing agency. Our expertise is very specifically in creative production and consultancy; photography, video, animation, live-stream and audio.
Angela Carrington added, “What we are doing is helping businesses and marketing teams make better decisions about the creative content they need and then delivering it.
“That combination of consultancy and production is where I see a huge opportunity for the business.”
The agency is also continuing to build its national client base and is entering its second year as a corporate partner of Experience North East England, formerly NGI.
Angela believes the latest developments represent a significant milestone for the business.
The Bigger Picture Agency has been around for 17 years, and I am incredibly excited about where we are going next.
Angela Carrington added, "We have a fantastic team, more creative space, new services and a clear idea of where we can add value for our clients.
“It feels like a new chapter for the business and I genuinely believe the best is yet to come.”
