Ridge strengthens Newcastle office with two senior appointments
Ridge has bolstered its Newcastle operations with the appointment of Kevin Roddam as Associate Cost Manager and Harry Steel as Associate Project Manager, reflecting the firm's continued commitment to growing its presence in the North East.
Kevin Roddam brings 38 years of industry experience to Ridge, having held senior roles across a range of cost management practices including, most recently, Turner & Townsend.
Kevin's career spans a broad spectrum of sectors - including healthcare, social housing, industrial and commercial - and he joins Ridge with a particular focus on establishing and developing the cost management offering within the Newcastle office.
A career highlight for Kevin was his work on a new Intensive Care Unit at South Tyneside Hospital - a complex, fast-track project delivered under significant operational constraints, with the construction taking place directly beneath live operating theatres.

Harry Steel joins Ridge with almost ten years of experience gained at Arcadis and, most recently, Tetra Tech, where he worked as a quantity surveyor and employers' agent in across sectors. A quantity surveyor by profession , Harry has developed significant project management expertise across his career and joins Ridge's project management discipline , as part of the EIT (Ellison Institute of Technology) team.
One of Harry's standout projects was St. Margaret's Gateway scheme in Leicester - the £14.3 million redevelopment of St. Margaret's bus station, recognised as the UK's first net zero bus station, which won several architectural awards on completion.

Both Kevin and Harry will play a role in building out Ridge's client base and team in the North East, with plans to develop a standalone cost management function from the Newcastle office.
