Newcastle Ladies Day 2026: Everything you need to know
Excitement is building as Newcastle prepares for one of the biggest events in the racing calendar this Saturday.
With the largest crowd in over 10 years expected to descend on Gosforth Park, Say When Ladies Day once again promises an exceptional day of thrilling racing action, luxury hospitality, fashion and fizz.
Paul Elliot, Executive Director at Newcastle Racecourse says: “The demand for Ladies Day this year has been incredible, and we're expecting to sell out for the first time in years. We’ve introduced some fantastic new additions to the event this year with brand new food, drink and post-racing experiences for racegoers to enjoy. It remains a real highlight in the North East social calendar and we can’t wait to welcome everyone through the gates this Saturday.”
Over 20,000 racegoers are expected to attend this year’s event for a spectacular line up of seven races, with the first race starting at 13:35pm and the last race at 17:10pm. Following its resounding success last year, the Style Awards will also be making a grand return with over £11,000 worth of prizes up for grabs. Celebrations will continue into the evening, with a Bongo’s Bingo party at 5:40pm and shuttle buses running to Say When bar in Gosforth, before continuing to Tup Tup Palace for the official after-party.

Race Day
Gates will open at 11am with an exclusive 50% drinks offer for the first hour after opening, offering guests 50% off selected drinks alongside £10 off house wine, prosecco, champagne and jugs of Pimms.
Racegoers looking to beat the crowds and bag the best seats are encouraged to purchase priority entry tickets before Friday 24th July for only £10.
With 95% of Grandstand tickets sold out and Premier tickets expected to sell out in the next 24 hours, guests are encouraged to book their tickets now to avoid disappointment.
Style Awards
The highly-anticipated Style Awards will make a grand return for 2026, celebrating glamour, individuality and standout race day fashion. The competition will this year feature a record-breaking line up of prizes worth more than £11,000, with the top 10 best dressed guests set to take home an incredible selection of prizes including luxury getaways, spa breaks, shopping vouchers and beauty treatments from some of the region’s leading brands*.
Throughout the day, spotters from Tyne Tees Models Management will be scouting the crowd to select the best dressed guests, with those keen to enter encouraged to visit the Grandstand Hall to have their picture taken. Winners will be notified prior to the final judging which will be held in the Parade Ring at 3:30pm, where the overall 2026 Style Competition winner will be announced shortly after.

Bongo’s Bingo Party
Back by popular demand, Bongos Bingo returns for 2026 with music, dancing and outrageous prizes, this year alongside iconic 90s dance anthems from N-Trance. The 90-minute DJ set will start approximately 30 minutes after racing, making it the perfect place to dance the night away before heading to the official after-party.
After-party
True to its name, this year’s Ladies Day after-party will continue at Say When bar in Gosforth, with shuttle buses departing from GOALS onsite from 4:30pm-9pm to take racegoers directly to the high street, before continuing up to Newcastle’s city centre for the official after-party at Tup Tup Palace.
