Final Weeks to Claim Free Kids’ Tickets for Northern Lights Newcastle
Families can save up to £24 on selected dates, with one adult and up to two children visiting for £18.75 including the transaction fee.
Families can claim up to two free children’s tickets at Northern Lights Newcastle through a limited summer offer ending on 31 August 2026, or until the ticket allocation has been claimed.
The promotion allows customers to make a saving of £24 when purchasing at least one Off-Peak Early Bird Adult tickets to claim up to two child’s free tickets.
To claim the offer, customers must enter the code KIDSLIGHTS at checkout before selecting their tickets.
This year, Northern Lights Newcastle returns to Leazes Park from 20 November to 31 December with a new Christmas Time Machine theme for 2026.
Having sold more than 250,000 tickets in Newcastle over the past three years, the popular mile-long trail will invite visitors to journey through Christmases past, revisiting traditions and festive moments that have shaped celebrations across the generations.
Eleven installations created by artists from around the world will transform the park, drawing inspiration from lava lamps, nutcrackers and kaleidoscopes.
The trail will also include interactive moments and festive photo opportunities, alongside the return of its vintage fairground rides, marshmallow-toasting area and Christmas Village, serving seasonal food and drink from local traders.
We know Christmas can be an expensive time for families, so the Kids Go Free offer has been designed to make planning a festive day out more affordable. Families can claim up to two free children’s tickets on selected off-peak dates, saving up to £24. The offer is only available until 31 August and has a limited allocation, so we would encourage anyone hoping to use it to book while eligible tickets remain.
Northern Lights Newcastle will also host two dedicated inclusive evenings on Wednesday 2 and Wednesday 9 December. Capacity will be reduced by 75% on these dates, with lower audio levels throughout the trail to provide a calmer environment for neurodivergent visitors and others who may prefer a more relaxed experience.
The fully accessible route includes wheelchair-friendly paths, ramp access points and seating areas. Access time slots and queue-jump wristbands will also be available for visitors with additional needs.
Kids Go Free offer
- The Kids Go Free offer is available on selected Off-Peak Early Bird dates until 31 August 2026, or until the allocation is exhausted.

- Customers purchasing at least one £17 Off-Peak Early Bird Adult ticket can claim up to two free tickets for children aged 3–16. A maximum of two adult tickets and two free children’s tickets can be included in each booking using the offer.
