Duncan Peake

An experienced chartered surveyor, land manager and rural business leader. He joined Raby Estates as Chief Executive in 2017 after a successful track record managing and developing some of the UK’s foremost landed estate businesses. He is responsible for business operations across Raby’s landholdings located in some of the most highly designated landscape character areas in Durham and Shropshire. Duncan has been responsible for leading transformational change at Raby and the development of the Estate’s tourism and leisure interests in the north.

Duncan is a passionate advocate for England’s historic and natural environment and the role that those who live and work on the land can contribute towards safeguarding that heritage. As well as being a Board Director and Interim Chair of Visit County Durham, Duncan also sits on the County Durham Economic Partnership Board, is a member of the Natural England Landscape Advisory Panel and a Trustee of Fields in Trust, which safeguards and protects green spaces for sport and recreation across the UK.
